Yesterday, in the first time in our house, we celebrated the Thanksgiving day. It is an American's feastday. A new comer, an American, facilitated it. Anyhow, it's good to say thanks - as well as to say sorry in muslim's tradition. Two "magic word"s we often forget. I say "magic word" because it can bring magical effect in our live - it can encourage other, reconstruct broken relationship, release our feeling of guilty etc. etc...
Regarding that celebration, in our community prayer each of us offered a breve "thanks" - that could be presented in our own language. This prayer I want to share you in this blog.
My prayer was very short, maybe the shortest, I use Italian, "Grazie Signore per il tuo miracolo quotidiano", means Thanks Lord for your daily miracle, or in Indonesian "Syukur Allah atas mujijat harianMu".
Every morning, as I wake up, I get already the first miracle in that day - my heart is still working. Imagine!! Almost 50 years it works faithfully, never rest. I often forget something, but it never forgets beating. Then I open my eyes, I see everything around me. I can see!! Is it not a miracle? Bartimeus had to cry to get his sight. After sleeping for hours - then I just open my eyes, without asking, I see. When I open my window, I see light - the same light God has created in the first creation time. It is still there. Yes, live is full of miracles - live itself is a miracle. Uncountable.....How about you?
